BRAIN

Untreated hearing loss is not good for your brain.

Today, studies show that hearing loss is linked to smaller brain sizes. For example, this MRI picture is from a well-known study that shows how untreated hearing loss causes the brain to become smaller in size.

Often, people think we just hear with our ears, but we hear with our brains, too!  As a matter of fact, untreated hearing loss leads to less activity in the hearing, speech, and language centers of your brain.

If you don’t use it, you lose it.
